"Before sending you the "official" letter with the "big" words,

I wanted to explain, that The Hive started from a group of artist (at the time, mainly musicians) that saw a great need for some sort of place, where we can develop projects and help others develop their project.

We saw that there are so many people in our immediate community, with sincere visions, and without the means or support to make their dreams reality.

It's true that there are many ART organizations, but none of them really gave the time of day to these individuals.
... just  the process of applying for space or guidance,  is sooo discouraging, that very deserving folks, don't even get to the place where they are being considered...

So we said to ourselves, that if we can't get outside help, we will do it ourselves, provide space, equipment and most important develop an encouraging community to allow this art to flourish".
